First we get a product, do not rush to die, the most important thing is to check the product structure, including drawing, thickness and other molding problems. Of course, these may be difficult for a person who has just been engaged in die structure design. Because they may not know how to be more suitable for mold design products, these do not matter, but their daily accumulation of a process. When you've analyzed the drawing, wall thickness, and where there's a reversal in the direction of the die, you basically know the direction of the parting surface of the die and the location of the gate, and of course these are ultimately confirmed with the customer.
_Some people say, is it possible for me to start designing the mold after analyzing the product structure? The answer is of course NO. If you want to take fewer detours in design, some projects that affect the die structure must be confirmed.
The details are as follows:
1. Tonnage and type of injection molding machines used by customers.
If this confirmation is not good, you can't confirm the diameter of the gate sleeve and the diameter of the positioning ring, the size and location of the ejection hole, the depth of the injection machine into the mold, even the size of the mold frame, the closure height and so on. You have worked hard to design a core-pulling mold structure with an oil cylinder, and you have a sense of accomplishment, but the mold can not be manufactured when it comes to the customer, because the customer only has an electric injection molding machine, and no additional neutrons, it is estimated that you will have a feeling of crying without tears.
2, the code mode of customer injection molding machine.
In general, it is commonly used for pressing plate code, screw code, hydraulic code, magnetic code mode and so on. This confirms, you know when you design the mold, the need to design the mold screw through the hole or mold slot.
3, just now we analyzed the problem of the product, and the product clamp line, product material and shrinkage rate.
Don't take it for granted that the shrinkage of PP plastic must be 1.5%, this must be confirmed with the customer, to know what brand they ultimately used in the production of materials, whether to add any modified materials and so on.
When conditions permit, we can be familiar with the assembly relationship of the product and the use of the product and so on. This information is very helpful for the future mold structure design. Because of this, you know which are the appearance, which are non-appearance, which parts of the drawing angle can be increased, which can not be changed. Even the structure of some products, if you understand the actual assembly relationship and use of the product, you know which inverted structure can be cancelled or changed to another simple form.
We must bear in mind that the process of making moulds is the process of simplifying complex problems. I often see people proud of what a complex structure they have built, and I think it's very ignorant. Because many product engineers may design unreasonable structures because of their own experience, they may always feel that design is okay if it is not corrected as a downstream process. Then the progress of our product engineers will be very slow.

Of course, gear distributor can be used, but that is more complicated. Secondly, the waterway, because the waterway to ensure cooling effect, uneven distribution will affect product quality and die life. It's the gas circuit and the circuit. The order of placement on the mold is that the circuit is the closest to the TOP direction, then the waterway, the gas path, and the oil circuit connector is the lowest.
Other unfinished matters. After mastering these information, we can begin to design moulds. First of all, parting. This process is estimated to be a process that we all like. Because there is a sense of accomplishment in separating patterns. The principle of pulling parting surfaces is that they are simple and easy to pull out without scanning, or with other advanced commands. Secondly, pull the parting surface should have a general outlook, try to simplify the parting surface, do not do the 7788, if it is not a precision mold, those 0.1 ~ 0.5 interpolation can be avoided. In addition, the parting surface should follow a principle, which is to follow the product trend as far as possible. The parting surface will be beautiful. The same command, experienced people will have a lot of flexible usage, this is reflected in UG is the most obvious. In a word, what matters is thinking, not tools. When doing the parting surface, only need to know that the angle of the insertion surface can be large, the area of the penetration surface can be large, and the pillow position can be wide. To fully consider the parting surface you are now pulling in the future after the actual mold is made, people in charge of the workshop will not be scolding you. If you don't think you're going to get scolded, OK, keep going, and when you do get scolded in the future, that's your experience.
The layout of the slider and the inclined roof must be taken into consideration when making the parting surface, because those also involve the modification of the parting surface. Typical slider structure is a triangular function relationship, this is okay to calculate their own, but to ensure that the angle of the inclined guide column is not too large, as far as possible to achieve less than 30 degrees. The principle of choosing the slanting guide pillar is to be thick and thick, not too stingy, because the inclined pillar must be stressed. In addition, the slider is also divided into a lot of variations in the structure, such as uphill slider, downhill slider, inner pumping slider, cylinder pumping, front model slider, slider with slider, slider with inverted top, slider with inclined top, and so on, these special structures are made full use of the trigonometric function relations, the purpose is to achieve product inverted release. The second is the inclined top, the inclined top is more flexible, but the typical inclined top angle should not be too large, try not to exceed 15 degrees, of course, you have to do 20 degrees, but life is difficult to ensure, and the movement will be very unsmooth, the specific principle of reference to trigonometric functions and theoretical mechanics. The shape of the sloping roof has many evolutionary forms, for example, the sloping roof on the uphill, the sloping roof on the downhill, the sloping neck, the big sloping roof with the sloping roof, the big sloping roof with the sloping roof, the small sloping roof with the round bar, the sloping roof with the sloping roof under the top, the sloping roof on the slider, the sloping roof with the reverse roof, and so on. Some structures are all for one purpose, and trigonometric functions are used to produce products. This shows how important it is to learn trigonometric functions well. At this point, I can congratulate you, the general process is over. In fact, mold design is a paradox. If you want to design better, the cost of the mold will be higher. If you want to design simpler, you may have to change the product or the strength of the mold. The service life of the mold will be affected. So mold design is not certain. As long as you find that balance, the mold you designed is successful. So the structure that others are designing may not always suit you.
